Exploring the geysers and pools of Biscuit Basin!

Adventure Date: 08/24/2020 – 08/31/2020

A lot of the geyser basins in Yellowstone are located in the southern parts of the park.  One of these is Biscuit Basin.  The trail we went on was on the west side of the Firehole River.  There is another side of the basin on the east side of the river that has even more pools and geysers that leads to Old Faithful, but it’s also a longer hike.

Due to the pandemic, the park has been encouraging people to wear masks even in outdoor settings where social distancing can’t be practiced.  I mention this because the boardwalks are fairly narrow in some parts.  If you plan to take a photo in a tight spot, quickly plan the composition of your shot and be mindful of people walking by!
