Rolling through the Cloud Peak Skyway Scenic Byway!

Adventure Date: 08/24/2020 – 08/31/2020

Our route to Yellowstone National Park from Minnesota went through the Badlands and the Black Hills area, so a part of our route was the Cloud Peak Skyway Scenic Byway.  This was definitely worth the trip because there were so many picturesque pull-offs and stop areas through this southern part of the Bighorn National Forest in the Big Horn Mountains.  The route starts off in Buffalo, Wyoming and essentially ends in Ten Sleep, Wyoming.  Definitely be on the lookout for big rigs hauling logs because apparently a lot of them travel through this area.
