Seattle – Ballard Locks

The Ballard Locks don’t seem to be anything special when you hear about it, but it has a salmon ladder where you can look at salmon run up the ladder into Lake Union AND watch the boats come through the locks, if you’re into that sort of thing.  I think the cool thing about the locks though is the view into Lake Union.  You see so many boat houses and large vessels, something you wouldn’t see at a marina in Madison, WI.
