Taking in some Native American history and culture at the Crazy Horse Memorial!

Adventure Date: 08/24/2020 – 08/31/2020

The Crazy Horse Memorial was one of the few first stops of our road trip out west to Yellowstone.  We went here after exploring Badlands in the morning and Mount Rushmore right before.  Even though the memorial is unfinished, we figured we would still visit it since it was a close drive from Mount Rushmore.  We didn’t pay for the van shuttle to take us to the foot of the memorial to get a close-up look, but there were plenty of things to do at the visitor center.  Both of us even brought home pieces of the granite from the mountain that the memorial is being carved from!
