We actually planned to spend part of the day at Sleeping Giant, but when we got to the park area, the areas were closed. Instead of driving back to Thunder Bay, we decided to take a chance and check out Ouimet Canyon even though we were sure if the area would be opened either. Fortunately, when we got there it was opened but we were one of two vehicles there. We took a walk through the trails to get to one of the lookout platforms and were amazed by how the freshly fallen snow made the scenery look like the first snowfall of winter.
