Trip Date: March 11th – 17th, 2017
On Day 4, we’re up early and out of Hilo, going north before heading south to Kona. We went north, following Highway 19, then south to Kona from there. We took a detour to go check out Waipi’o Valley where we saw BJ Penn and visited his poke shop he had just recently opened up in Honokaa! Afterwards, before checking into our hotel in Kona, we stopped at the Hapuna Beach State Park where the guys went for a swim while I rested my injured right root.
