Early morning snorkeling at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve!

Trip Date: August 14th – 24th, 2019

Hanauma Bay State Park is a pretty busy place to snorkel, but it’s worth it if you head there early in the morning like we did.  We didn’t need to pay for parking or admission which made it all worth it to get there early.  Usually, from what I read elsewhere, that if you do not show up early, then it’s very difficult finding decent parking, sometimes not all!  The waters were pretty calm so it was great for Amanda’s first time snorkeling.  Saw an octopus, a few eels, and a bunch of tropical fish like a puffer fish and Yellow Tangs.  We forgot to bring water bottles and snacks so we didn’t stay long since being in the water can get pretty tiring especially without any food or water.  Definitely wanted to go back again before we left Hawaii but we ended up being so busy doing other things that we just didn’t have time.  Next time though!
