A historically significant cultural area for the Hawaiians, the Waimea Valley!

We actually were planning on stopping at Waimea Bay Beach Park, but due to the lack of parking spots, we figured we’d go across the street to the Waimea Valley instead.  In the Waimea Valley, besides the visitors center, there is a botanical garden along with various cultural sites on the hike up to the waterfalls where you can swim in the pool below it.  The hike wasn’t too bad, but if you don’t want to hike the paved trail, you could also pay for a roundtrip ride on a motorized cart.  The cultural sites were pretty cool to see too.  The placards provided a lot of information too about the cultural sites at each one.  Check it out below!
