The Adventure

Our family spent an entire day at Ferguson’s Minnesota Harvest, and it was the kind of outing that left us smiling long after we got home. The apple orchard and activity area were spread out across a large property, yet everything was close enough to reach with just a short walk. The only exception was apple picking, which took us a little farther, but the stroll was worth it once we were out among the trees. Having all the activities clustered nearby made it easy to explore without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

One of the highlights for us was trying the Ferguson Apple Cider slushies. We sampled both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, and both were delicious. What made them even better was the presentation—the fluffy whipped cream and an apple cider doughnut perched on top transformed the drinks into something truly special. They were as fun to look at as they were to sip.

The kids had no shortage of adventures to keep them entertained throughout the day. From climbing the rope obstacle course to bouncing on the inflatable pumpkins, every stop brought laughter and excitement. They loved the tractor ride and giggled nonstop on the spinning apple merry-go-round. And of course, no trip would have been complete without picking apples straight from the orchard—a sweet way to end a full day of activities.

What surprised us most was how quickly the time flew by. We hadn’t planned to spend the whole day, yet before we knew it, the sun was setting, and we realized we had stayed right up until closing time. That’s the best sign of a great family outing—when you’re so caught up in the fun, you lose track of the hours.
