The name for this area comes from the yellowish rocks in the canyon, but when we had stopped there, the rocks looked reddish than yellow. If you look south from the pull-off, you’ll be able to see Rustic Falls and the pull-off for that. The canyon is deep with a creek that runs through it. Part of the Bunsen Peak trail runs to the top of the cliffs so you might see some people from across the canyon if you look close enough. With the winding road around the cliff side, be careful when pulling in and out of the pull-offs!
