The oldest thermal area of Yellowstone, the Norris Geyser Basin!

Just another basin? Kind of, not really.  I was expecting it to be like the other basins because it’s just another thermal area.  But I was wrong and it was actually an enjoyable walk through the basin areas.  The Norris Geyser Basin is located right at the intersection where you either continue south to Old Faithful or east to Canyon Village.  There are warnings throughout the parking lot about the risk of parking in the lot because of the eruptions of one of the geysers.  There are a couple of areas to walk around in the basin area, one that is wooded (south) and the other with barren land (north).  We walked the north part then half of the south part, and finished before the geyser could erupt.  Definitely don’t want to be responsible for damages to the rental car!
